OVERVIEWSentry Insurance is currently seeking a Graphic Design Assistant in our Marketing Department. As a Graphic Design Assistant for Sentry, you'll provide support to the Creative Team, assisting with the accomplishment of the department's graphic design projects, goals and objectives. WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Graphic Design Assistant, You Will Work involves the design and distribution of communication media or materials that impact public relations, employee communications and business communications. This position reports to the Creative Director. Duties and tasks are frequently routine. Applies moderate to advanced skills to the position. Follows set procedures and may exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. Duties include the performance of basic graphic design and photo editing with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop and related tools. May provide support on updating the design of brochures, flyers, posters, invitations, advertisements and banners. Light assistance with corporate photography, editing photos, and utilizing digital cameras and scanners. Collaborates with team to create themes for large corporate-sponsored special events, advertising, programs and promotional campaigns. Duties may include preparing routine correspondence, compiling research, verifying facts, posting, recording, completing forms or reports, and ordering and maintaining supplies. May complete and/or compile records, may assist with meeting preparations by scheduling rooms, coordinating schedules, obtaining and assembling materials, and other related duties. WHAT IT TAKESIn Order To Be Eligible For This Elite Opportunity You Must Meet The Following Criteria Performs other job-related duties requiring the same general knowledge, skills and degree of responsibility commensurate with assigned level. High School Degree or equivalent required. Completion of college-level course work toward a degree in graphic design is preferred; or 1-3 years equivalent work experience. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs, in particular InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft PowerPoint, is required. Good communication, presentation, and planning skills. Creativity and ability to work independently on design and editing projects, as well as able to take direction and work successfully as part of a team Ability to work under time constraints. Ability to work professionally and successfully with all levels of personnel in a wide variety of contexts, from executives to fellow employees.
